DESCRIPTION

House for someone who needs to settle down. From the words ‘settle down’, the sense of stability came to mind. Most people think of a symmetrical or equilateral for stability, but I didn’t want to use these universal concepts. I challenged myself. My solution was using triangles. The reason that I decided to use triangles was because three sides of the triangle are surrounding each other so wherever in some triangle space, can feel surrounded, and it could be relaxing. Also, triangles are said to be the most stable form. The form of a merged triangle is something like a rule about mass and plan shape that I set myself.

There is an acute triangle in the middle and this line could apply on the flow that penetrates various layers so it could be the concept line and a line of movement.

The flow of the floors has a pattern; Higher, more private. And the two of these flows are crossing on the stair landing space.

Also, there is a path through the front of the house. This path would link the two roads.

Two entrances are in the triangle space. It would be the main entrance and also the courtyard.

The stair is like a core and its whole shape is rectangular so I think it would balance triangular spaces.
